You can walk through a section of open, old hardwoods; beech, oak and ash trees that stand like the great pillars and vaulted ceilings of a medieval cathedral, and then come upon a dense, dark patch of cedar bush that is dark and ominous, but beautiful still. Our trips continued into my teenage year.
